Did You Know?

During an asthma attack, or episode, the airways to your lungs become smaller, allowing less air to pass through them, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. At the same time, the cells that line the airways produce extra mucus, which clogs the airways and further limits airflow. The result is a feeling of tightness in the chest, wheezing and difficulty breathing.
